J presented a valedictory speech this morning in which you were mentioned… You were indeed Bright Hope to our family in the 2 plus years you worked with our struggling son. He graduated from a small school, he was the top man, and got to encourage the entire school body of up-and-coming kids K-12, that to struggle academically is a worthy thing. To fail spelling test after spelling test is not an end in itself. To be the guy who needs a reading tutor doesn’t mean you are doomed to an unsuccessful future.
Thank you again for the work you do and particularly the work you did with J and the encouragement you imparted to all of us.
He is headed off in the coming weeks to a construction apprenticeship and he is so excited to start the next big thing. I just wanted to let you know that he graduated with flair and you are such a big part of his success.

Anne uses multidisciplinary, kinesthetic, multisensory strategies that really keep children engaged and help them learn.

“Anne was able to identify the specific areas where our daughter needed to focus. We are seeing improvement every week. She is exceptional in her knowledge, organization, and professionalism “
Kerri Gardner, LPC

My daughter, S, had a really hard time with word problems, multi-step problems, multiplication & division. She was a year behind in math and struggling to keep up in that class. Her self-esteem was very low, and she frequently called herself stupid. After working with Bright Hope for a year and a half, she is on grade level for math! Her confidence has really grown and she’s excited to show me what she learned after her class. The way math is taught to S is so much more helpful for her learning style. She really thrives with the hands-on and visual learning approach. I have no doubt Bright Hope would help your struggling child. It’s been life changing for my daughter to have an educational therapist that really understands children with learning disabilities and how to teach them.

Life changing! Those two words are the best way to describe the difference in M. Anne invested in her as a person. She helped M make basic and essential neurological connections which we wondered if she would ever make. She also taught her to problem solve and she did it with patience and perseverance. M would not be the competent, confident person she is if she did not receive the equipping Anne provided. Anne we would recommend you again and again!

I would like to say thank you for all you have done for me. I look back on class with you and I don’t think I ever truly appreciated all you taught me. Yes, you gave me a foundation in reading, writing, and executive functioning, but more importantly, you showed me that learning those things could be fun. At the same time, you restored my confidence in my ability to learn.

I have had the pleasure of having Ms. Anne be my tutor for over six years now. She was a mentor to me in more ways than one. She not only taught me how to find the roots to words and how to form squiggly lines into fascinating fonts; she taught me how practice and patience can turn into something truly beautiful – learning. She has given me the tools to go forth in my academic career with confidence and understanding. I’m so grateful to have had someone as amazing as Ms. Anne as tutor.

Our daughter has made remarkable progress in reading fluency working with Anne. Anne is flexible, professional and easy to work with. She took time to understand how to best engage our daughter and craft an effective tutoring approach. Our daughter really enjoys the sessions and the two have a lot of fun together!

Not only did Anne make progress where no other tutor had been able to, her kindness, gentleness and overwhelming level of caring for my son literally changed his life and his perspective on learning.

Anne did an amazing job with S. I have already seen tremendous improvement, and he actually didn’t mind sitting down to practice or sitting down to meet with Anne. She was kind, patient, and engaging. She has been a very good fit for us.

Our daughter has grown so much with the support of Anne & Bright Hope Therapy! Anne has beautifully balanced kindness and humor with the in-depth structured learning support our daughter truly needed to make progress with her reading. Anne’s encouragement, knowledge and confidence in our daughter’s abilities have been essential in developing her reading skills!

My daughter was struggling to decode unfamiliar three letter words in 4th grade, reading assignments took her forever to get through, and she hated free writing because she was afraid to misspell words. After working with Bright Hope for a year and half, my daughter is on grade level for reading and writing. Although she does have accommodations in class, her ability to now attend class with her peers has really helped her self-esteem. She HATED going to the “baby” class. Plus, being taught in a way she understands has really boosted her self-confidence and we aren’t hearing the negative self-talk from her like we used to. It’s been life changing for her! Anne took such a thoughtful approach to my daughter’s learning needs and adjusted lessons and practice assignments to best suit my child. I can’t imagine anyone regretting having their child do this program and I wish even my older kids (who don’t have learning disabilities) could have been taught this way to read and spell.

As a senior citizen recovering from moderately severe stroke-related traumatic brain injury, I found I was newly challenged with memory, handwriting, and orientation in space. Anne has been working with me online twice a week to strengthen these areas, and with her clear and compassionate guidance I have been making significant progress. I continue to develop new ways to thoughtfully and even patiently approach challenging tasks and remember important details. I would recommend her program to other seniors who wish to enhance their thinking and memory skills and to live their daily lives in more comfort.
JM, senior recovering from stroke

My daughter’s progress has been tremendous. Not only has she overcome her dyslexia, but her entire attitude about reading and school has changed so that now she feels confident and successful.

Thanks again for all you have done for us. M. is eons better and trying to read everything she can…Our state has a book award every year and the library gives out prizes if you read and vote on 4 or 5 of them. She has a goal to read every one. Our life is night and day. I can’t ever thank you enough.

We can’t thank you enough for not only helping N. but more importantly giving him the confidence to help himself. He is back to being the outgoing reader he used to be and for that we truly thank you.

For years Miss Anne has helped support my children in their academics. From starting with Anne after diagnosis (ADHD & Dyslexia), Anne has helped our kids grow in their abilities throughout their elementary school years. Starting as non-readers and now reading beyond their grade levels and growing into confident writers, her support has made their academic success possible. Through three school changes, due to moves, Anne has been our children’s constant support. She had helped make otherwise tricky transitions, smooth and seamless, helping our kids grow academically and personally as they blossom into resilient adolescents who have the tools to take on challenging academics and more.

Thanks for all you do. We know N is so much more prepared to enter school than she ever would have been without your help.

My homeschooled teenage son L has benefitted so much from Anne’s NILD therapy over the last two years. As one would expect, the therapy has focused on the skills that are the most frustrating for him, but Anne has relentlessly pushed him forward little by little. She is patient and fun for him to work with, but also very persistent regarding the details of the program and his efforts during class and with homework. If work was not getting done, she always carefully investigated the reason with me, and we made the necessary adjustments. Although she always encouraged L to work past his frustration, she also looked for therapeutic ways to handle every hurdle, such as changing the way letters are formed, or using a special pencil grip. Overall, he has gone from resisting reading, struggling to write sentences, and failing to follow multi-step instructions to reading fluently, writing essays of several paragraphs, and being less easily frustrated with various mental tasks. He has also been able to successfully join a music program at a local university, which I attribute to the skills he has gained through Anne’s work with him.

Anne has been working with our family for 5 years. She has been an absolute lifesaver for our two kiddos with dyslexia! Both kids read at grade level and continue to improve in their skills! She goes above and beyond- finding additional specialists to assist, coordinating schedules, mailing needed resources, preparing paperwork for SNEA, working with our teachers…I could go on and on! I highly recommend Anne for any child who needs support with reading or math!

My daughter A received tutoring from Anne Cernyar for seven years for dyslexia and dysgraphia. From the beginning, Anne approached every lesson with patience, creativity, and encouragement. She made learning fun and engaging, which helped A not only build her skills but also her confidence. Today, A is thriving in school—confident in her abilities and motivated to succeed. We are so grateful for Anne’s dedication and the positive impact she has had on A’s academic journey and self-esteem. I highly recommend Anne to any family seeking a compassionate and effective tutor.
